To the northwest of Corsica, between Calvi and Porto, there is a wild peninsula, at first enchanting then mysterious, which juts out into the sea… the Scandola Nature Reserve.
An exceptional panorama…
Scandola extends over 900 hectares of land and 1000 hectares of sea, also encompassing the peninsula of Girolata and its village. What you will see, first of all, from this imposing massif of porphyry (igneous rock) will be its purple and gold cliffs. Shaped in this way by the onslaught of the wind and the perpetual movement of water, they offer you their often curious shapes like sculptures. Depending on your imagination, they will make you think of a person, an animal and many other curiosities bordering on the legendary.
The blues of the sea and the greens of the vegetation united with the intense red of the rock now unfold their exceptional palette of colors and offer you a marvelous… almost supernatural landscape.
